Community is central to The John Lyon School’s Values and our relations with former pupils are strong. Our links to the Lyonian Association and our former pupils underpin daily life in School.

Miss Haynes, the Head commented that 'Marc is an engaging, lively and thought-provoking speaker, the boys listened with evident interest. I am grateful to all Old Lyonians who take the time to share their knowledge and passion with current pupils.’

The Head of Sixth Form, James Armstrong, commented that “it was wonderful to have Marc in to speak to the boys about the importance of fighting for what you believe in, it’s a credit to Mark that the issue of puppy farming was debated in the House of Commons due to his efforts”

Marc the Vet said "I thoroughly enjoyed returning to John Lyon after 27 years to speak with the pupils and share some of my life experiences. My guided tour brought back many happy memories of my time at JLS and I very much look forward to further supporting the school in future."
