Third place in Bible Project prize-giving at Westminster Abbey

Last term, pupils represented John Lyon School in the Schools Bible Project 2024 at Westminster Abbey, where we proudly achieved third place in the UK. Malek (8RMK) and Anoushka (8DJW), who were accompanied by their respective families as well as Mrs Hardy and Ms Grady, attended the prize-giving to receive their awards from the Lord Mayor of Westminster, Robert Rigby. This was  by a tour of Westminster Abbey and tea at Westminster.

Both pupils submitted eyewitness accounts of a miracle of Jesus, demonstrating a deep empathy for those who may have been present at the event. The standard of entries from across the UK was exceptionally high, with the ten winners traveling from Northern Ireland, Liverpool, the Channel Islands, and of course, Harrow to participate in the event.

We are immensely proud of Anoushka and Malek and hope this recognition ignites their passion for writing and literature. Congratulations to them both!
